showcasing the best in Celtic Giftware since 1996

Twenty five years ago Enterprise Ireland started the initial show in Secaucus, New Jersey, known as the Look is Ireland. Peter Collins with his good friend John Branigan built on the success of the Look is Ireland and created the Ireland Show. They identified that producers of giftware, jewelry and fashion, needed a vehicle to sell many items to the mostly Irish ethnic market that had grown and developed in the USA and Canada through the years of emigration from Ireland. The show began with just two floors of the Embassy Suites Hotel in Secaucus and grew to six floors in just 5 years.

In an interview with Celtic Life International (, Peter Collins says; “The show is an important gathering of all those involved in the industry, not alone to do business, but to socialize and converse about the difficulties and challenges they all face. This very much includes our Celtic neighbours from Scotland, Wales and England and those North American based companies who represent Celtic merchandise in the USA and Canada.”

Acquiring the Lombard Show

In 2016, after taking over the long running Lombard show in Chicago, Celtic Shows commenced its inaugural Celtic Showcase Chicago. Featured annually in September, because of its timing, this show features many exhibitors showcasing goods for the Christmas season and continues to attract buyers from the States and Canada. Plans are in place to continue to grow and develop this event in the coming years.
